Lori Damiano: Junior Wrangler On Duty

Lori Damiano (she/her) works and plays in the realms of animation, illustration, murals, fiber art, film-making, emerging technology and arts education. Lori Damiano received a BA in Media Studies: Film/Video from UCSD and an MFA in Experimental Animation from CalArts.  Lori D. is also known for being part of the collective Villa Villa Cola that built community through the creation of zines and films documenting and celebrating female & gender expansive skateboarders from the late nineties through the early 2000’s.  She has shown her films, animations, and artwork internationally including at SFMOMA, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Fleisher-Ollman Gallery, ICA Philadelphia, Quickdraw Animation Society, Eyeworks Festival of Animation, and the Center for Cartoon Studies.  She is based in Portland, Oregon where she rides her motorcycle to make animated portraits of mountains and rivers as often as possible.
