Joel Fleminger: Looking Out
Joel Fleminger is a Portland based abstract painter. He grew up in St. Louis, MO, and attended Knox College in Galesburg IL where he received a Bachelors in Studio Art for painting and photography. After more than twenty years in corporate jobs, in 2025 Joel began working full time with his wife, Erika Rier who is an interdisciplinary artist making handmade ceramics and zines. Together they also have a daughter who is a professional chef.
