Brianna Luce: Tonight We Dance

Brianna Luce is a mixed-media artist whose wirework merges calculated precision with intuitive movement. Shaped by a childhood in classical ballet and an education in architecture, she creates sculptural forms that explore the relationship between strength and grace. Since 2011, Luce has worked with reclaimed instrument wire—from pianos, basses, and guitars—transforming the material into suspended and wall-mounted sculptures and wearable jewelry. Inspired by her musician parents, she first began working with their discarded strings and has since developed a lasting appreciation for wire’s distinctive texture and strength. Luce holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she honed her approach to design, craftsmanship, and sustainable material practices. Raised in a small Northern California community, she grew up in a home filled with music, art, and hands-on creativity, nurturing her curiosity and resourceful approach to making.
