Jordan Swartz is an interdisciplinary artist and designer exploring the meaning of mark-making and taking, the act of creation, and the relations of image through history and time. His work is deeply rooted in the search for balance (or lack thereof ), with a focus on proposing countering extremes while aggressively ignoring the neutral.
Growing up on punk rock and skateboarding, community is a major driving factor, woven through all of his work. Community is often a determining factor in many aspects of a specific piece, whether through source materials, musical inspiration, or independent publishing.
