Unobserved moments of unfurling fronds and concealed praymantises sparks Jaydon’s illustration practice. As a queer & trans PDX artist, Jaydon illustrates artworks for picture books, editorial works, design projects, and gallery shows. Whimsy is at the heart of their pencil tip, which involves a blend of artistry that includes, but is not limited to, gouache, water color, and chalk pastels. Whenever tasked with creative problem solving, they source their ideas from childhood nostalgia of flora & fauna, magic, and family.
