Mexican Illustrator, Alex Zarate was born with immigrant parents at Salem, Oregon.

Alex loves storytelling and exploring the human condition throughout his illustrations and murals. His current medium is a combination of traditional methods such as Ink, collage, charcoal along with digital techniques. Allowing to show different perspectives, stories, and emotions.

He graduated this last spring with a BFA from Pacific Northwest College of Arts. He has participated at the Oregon Art Auction held in Salem, OR and the Senior Thesis Art Show held at PNCA. Alex has continued his artistic journey in Portland, Oregon.
